How to use abda on multiple devices

Sign in at app.abda.ai on any device. On shared devices, sign out when you're done. If you lose a device, you can end its session remotely.

  1. 1

Open a browser on the new device (laptop, phone, tablet — any will work).

  2. 2

    Go to app.abda.ai.

  3. 3

Click Sign in and enter your email and password.

  4. 4

If two-factor authentication is on, enter the code from your authenticator app.

  5. 5

Your dashboard loads with all your data.

  6. 6

Click your avatar in the top right.

  7. 7

    Click Sign out.

  8. 8

    Close the browser tab.

  9. 9

Sign in at app.abda.ai on a device you still have.

  10. 10

Go to Settings → Security → Active sessions.

  11. 11

Find the session for the device you no longer have.

  12. 12

Click End session. That device is signed out immediately.

  13. 13

If you're unsure which session to end, click Sign out of all devices to end everything and sign back in fresh.

This guide is task-oriented — it walks through how to do each multi-device thing. For quick yes/no answers about sync, banks, and mobile support, see Can I use abda on multiple devices?.

Sign in on a new device

After the first sign-in, the device remembers you until you sign out or clear cookies.

Sign out on a shared device

On a public computer, hotel lobby PC, or borrowed laptop, always sign out when you're done.

As an extra precaution on shared devices, use a private / incognito browser window — cookies are cleared automatically when you close it.

End a session on a device you no longer have

If a phone or laptop is lost, stolen, or traded in, end its session from any other device you're still signed in on.

Also change your password afterwards if you suspect the device was stolen. See How to reset your password for that flow.

Use abda on mobile

abda works in mobile browsers — Safari on iOS 14.1+ and Chrome on Android.

Tips that make mobile feel closer to an app:

  • Add to home screen. In Safari, tap the share icon → Add to Home Screen. In Chrome on Android, tap the three-dot menu → Add to Home Screen. abda opens full-screen from the icon, like a native app.
  • Biometric unlock. If your browser supports passkeys, you can sign in with Face ID or fingerprint on return visits.
  • Voice features. The mic button in Ask AI works on mobile browsers that support the MediaRecorder API (Chrome on Android; Safari 14.1+ has partial support).

Keep data in sync

Everything lives on your abda account, not the device. That means:

  • Bank links travel with your account — link once, it's everywhere
  • Budgets, goals, transactions, and AI history are the same on every device
  • Changes on one device show up on every other device on the next refresh

How long does a session stay active?

Sessions stay active until you sign out or clear your browser cookies. There's no idle timeout today, but that's on our roadmap.

Why am I being asked for a 2FA code on a new device?

That's intentional. abda requires a fresh 2FA code whenever it sees a new device or browser. It's the main reason a stolen password alone won't get someone into your account.

Does signing out of one device sign out of all devices?

No. Each device has its own session. Use Settings → Security → Active sessions if you want to end sessions elsewhere.
