What are credits, and how do I get more?
Credits power AI features. Every new Ask AI conversation or Topic Builder question costs 1 credit. Follow-up questions in the same conversation are free.

Go to Settings → Credits or visit app.abda.ai/credits.

Pick a pack. You can buy any amount from $5 to $1,000.

Stripe handles the payment. You can use a card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay.

Credits land in your account right away.
Where credits come from
You get credits from three places. abda uses them in this order:
- Free credits — 3 for free when you sign up. Use them whenever you want; they never expire.
- Monthly credits — 20 per month if you're on Pro. These reset at the start of each billing cycle and don't roll over.
- Purchased credits — extra credits you buy anytime. They last one year from the date you buy them.
abda uses your free credits first, then your monthly credits, then your purchased credits — so you always use the ones that would expire soonest.
How much things cost
- Ask AI — 1 credit per new conversation. Follow-up questions in the same thread: free.
- Topic Builder — 1 credit per generated question set. Answering your own questions: free.
- Voice — same credit rules as typing. Voice doesn't cost extra.
How to buy more credits
$1 = 1 credit. Is that always true?
Yes. One credit is always $1 USD. Buy $5, get 5 credits. Buy $100, get 100 credits.
Do purchased credits expire?
Yes — 1 year after you buy them. abda always uses older purchased credits first, so you shouldn't run into expiry if you use them regularly.
Do Pro monthly credits roll over?
No. They reset at the start of each billing cycle. If you skip a month, those 20 credits are gone.
What if my AI request fails?
You're automatically refunded. We deduct the credit before calling the AI, then give it back if anything breaks.
How do I check my balance?
Your balance shows in the header when you sign in, and on the Credits page in Settings.
