How to delete your account
Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Danger Zone → Delete my account. This removes your profile, transactions, budgets, goals, and AI history. It cannot be undone.
- 1
Sign in at app.abda.ai.
- 2
Go to Settings → Privacy & Data.
- 3
Scroll to the Danger Zone.
- 4
Click Delete my account.
- 5
Type your email to confirm you really want to delete.
- 6
Click Confirm deletion. You'll see a confirmation message and get a confirmation email.
You're in full control. You can delete your account anytime, no phone call or email needed.
Before you delete
- Export a copy of your data first, in case you want it later — see How to export your data
- Cancel any active paid subscription by emailing support@abda.ai, or you'll be billed for the next cycle before deletion kicks in (self-serve billing is on the way)
- Redeem any unpaid offer points — unredeemed points are forfeited on deletion
Delete your account
What happens after
- Your login stops working right away
- Your profile, transactions, budgets, goals, and AI history are removed from our active systems within minutes
- Encrypted backups are cycled out within 30 days
- Your bank tokens are revoked so abda stops syncing your transactions
Just clearing data (keeping the account)
If you only want to wipe your data but keep your login — say, to start fresh — use Settings → Privacy & Data → Clear my data instead. Your account stays active with an empty state.
Can I get my account back after deleting?
No. Once deletion is processed, the data is gone. You can sign up again with the same email, but it's a new account with no history.
What if I change my mind right after clicking delete?
Email support@abda.ai as fast as you can. Deletions are queued and can sometimes be cancelled within the first few minutes.
Do you keep anything after I delete?
We may keep minimal records (like your email and deletion timestamp) for legal compliance and fraud prevention. We don't keep your transactions, budgets, or account balances.
How long until my data is really gone from backups?
Backups roll forward continuously. Your data clears out of backup systems within 30 days.
