How to export your data
Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Download my data. You'll get a JSON file with your profile info, your Persona Builder answers (if any), and basic account metadata.

We prepare your export. For most accounts it's ready in under a minute.

A download link is emailed to you and the JSON file downloads in your browser.
Your data belongs to you. You can download a copy anytime.
What's in the export
- Profile — email, first and last name, account status and type, whether your email is verified, when you created the account, when you last signed in, where you signed up from, where you last signed in from, and your LLM-sharing preference
- Persona Builder answers (if you've used it) — your saved answers, the questions you selected, the topics you selected and expanded, and the dates you created and last updated them
- Account metadata — your account status and type, plus whether the account has been marked removed
- Export timestamp — when the file was generated
What's not included (yet)
- Bank connections, transactions, budgets, goals, AI chats, and offers history — these aren't part of the downloadable export today. Email support@abda.ai if you need a copy and we'll help.
- Bank passwords — we never see or store them, so there's nothing to export
- Card numbers or routing numbers — we don't collect this info
Tips
- Export regularly if you want your own backup — monthly is a good rhythm
- The JSON file opens in any text editor; apps like VS Code pretty-print it so it's easy to read

Does exporting delete my data?
No. Exporting just gives you a copy. Your account stays exactly the same. To delete, see the account deletion guide.
Where does the download link come from?
From noreply@abda.ai — check your inbox (and spam folder if it's slow). The link also downloads in-browser right after you click Download my data.
How long does it take?
For most accounts, the file is ready in under a minute. If you have years of data it can take a few minutes.
Can I open the JSON file without a developer tool?
Yes. Any text editor will open it. For a nicer read, drag it into VS Code or an online JSON viewer — they'll format it with indentation and syntax highlighting.
