How to use the Topic Builder
Go to app.abda.ai/dashboard/topics, type a topic into the sidebar, and click Generate. AI writes subtopics and questions. Pick the ones you want, then answer in the main panel.

Sign in at app.abda.ai and click Topics in the sidebar (or go straight to /dashboard/topics).

In the left sidebar, type a topic in the Topic description box. Be specific — "planning a move to Austin" is better than "moving".

Click Generate. This costs 1 credit. You'll see your balance at the bottom of the sidebar.

In a few seconds, subtopics appear with several questions under each one.

Click a subtopic to expand it and see the questions.
Generate your first set of questions
Pick which questions to answer
- Click a question to make it active. It opens in the main panel, where you can write your answer.
- Use the checkboxes to select several at once — great if you want to focus on a theme.
- Click Select all on a subtopic to grab every question under it.
Answer in the main panel
When a question is active, type your answer in the big text area. Your answer saves automatically. Use the top navigation to move to the next or previous question.
Organize your subtopics
- Duplicate a subtopic — right-click (or click the three dots) and pick Duplicate. Handy if you want a parallel version for a different scenario.
- Delete a subtopic — same menu, pick Delete. The subtopic and its questions are removed. This doesn't refund the credit.
- You can have up to 7 copies of any subtopic.
Save or don't save your answers
By default, your answers save to your account so you can come back later. If you'd rather not save, flip the Don't save answers toggle in the sidebar before you type. When that's on, your answers stay in your browser for the current session only.
See a preview
The right-hand Preview panel shows your topic as a clean document — subtopic headings, questions, and your answers all laid out. Use it to skim what you've built or copy content into another tool.
What it costs
Each Generate click uses 1 credit. Answering questions, duplicating, deleting, or editing your answers is free.
If you run out of credits, a Buy credits button appears. Credits are $1 each, starting at $5.
What if the questions aren't great?
Make your topic more specific and click Generate again. You can also delete subtopics you don't want and keep the ones you like. Each generation costs 1 credit, so tune your topic before clicking.
Can I add my own questions?
Custom questions are on our roadmap. For now, you can delete the AI ones you don't like and work with the rest.
Do I get a refund if generation fails?
Yes. If anything goes wrong on our side, the credit is refunded automatically.
How many subtopics or questions do I get?
Topic Builder usually creates 3–6 subtopics with 4–8 questions each. The exact count depends on how wide your topic is.
Can I open an old topic later?
Yes. Past topics show up in the sidebar search. Click one to pick up where you left off.
